Tips for Making a Smoothie Bowl:

The key in Making a Smoothie Bowl is getting the Consistency Right! The Texture of the Smoothie Bowl must be tick enough that the Toppings can easily rest on top, and you can eat it with a spoon!

To make the base of the Smoothie Thick enough, you’ll need to add Some ingredients to the base that’ll work like a “Thickener”.

Protein Powder, Chia Seeds, Nut Butter and Frozen Fruits are great Thickeners for making a Smoothie Bowl.

Ingredients For Raspberry Smoothie Bowl:

Raspberries smoothie bowls topped with fresh raspberries

Frozen Raspberries

Frozen raspberry fruits, close up.

Frozen Fruit is always a MUST to get a Thick Texture for your smoothie bowl. I LOVE Raspberries, but you can use any other Fruit or Mixed Berries for your Smoothie Bowl. I strongly recommend using Frozen Raspberries or any other Frozen Berries or Fruit of choice to make the Perfect Smoothie Bowl.

Frozen Banana

Frozen Bananas are great to thicken smoothie bowls, so I always combine Frozen Banana with other ingredients whenever I want to make a smoothie bowl.

Almond Milk

For the liquid base you can use any Milk of your choice, but personally I love using Almond Milk for my smoothies.

To make a thick smoothie bowl you’ll need to use Less Liquid than usual when making a regular Smoothie.

Chia Seeds

Combined with frozen Raspberries and Bananas, Chia Seeds help thicken the texture of the smoothie.

Honey

This is Optional, but if you want a slightly sweet Smoothie bowl you can never go wrong with adding a drizzle of honey.

Medjool Dates

Using Medjool Dates in your Smoothie Bowl is also Optional. Medjool Dates are full of Nutrition and are considered as natural sweeteners that can add plenty of Flavor to your Smoothie Bowl.

Toppings

Some Optional Toppings to top your smoothie bowl with are shredded coconut, shaved dark chocolate, Almonds, Walnuts, chia seeds, Fresh Berries or Banana slices

How to Make Raspberry Smoothie Bowl:

Place all the ingredients for the smoothie bowl into your blender. I use my NutriBullet Magic Bullet that works wonders when it comes to making smoothies or smoothie bowls.

On High speed, Puree the raspberries, banana, Almond milk and chia seeds in the blender until smooth.

Note that at this point the mixture will be very thick, and you will need to pause the blender to push the ingredients down to get the blender going. If needed, add a little more milk …

Finally, top you Smoothie Bowl with your favorite toppings like shredded coconut, shaved dark chocolate, Walnuts, Fresh Raspberries, Banana Slices and chia seeds and serve immediately.
