Cold-Brewed Coffee Is a coffee that’s brewed using cold or room temperature water, rather than hot water. The process takes longer, but you’ll end up having a smooth and delicious coffee the next morning.

With this recipe you won’t need to spend extra bucks every day if not every week, for a cup of Cold-brewed iced coffee that tastes more like “water” rather than “coffee”.

The best thing about homemade Cold-brewed Iced coffee is that it’s ready-made for busy mornings!

All you need to do is to brew your coffee the night before and let it rest in the room temperature, and strain it the next morning…Boom your coffee is ready to go!

With using this method, the coffee slowly infuses into the water, creating a strong, concentrated brew.

I’m a huge fan of homemade recipes both taste-wise and money-wise because nothing beats the homemade version of food and drink recipes!

If you’re too, try this Cold-Brewed Iced Coffee recipe as well as Iced Matcha Green Tea Latte to save some extra bucks!

How to Make Cold-Brewed Iced Coffee

Before getting started it’s very important to remember the correct ratio of using coffee and water. For every ½ cup coarse ground coffee, you’re going to need 1 cup of water.

This is the best ratio for making a smooth and perfect cold brew coffee.

This recipe yields two drinks. With remembering this ratio, you can make this cold-brewed coffee for more servings.

Step 1:

In a Coffee Grinder grind about ¼ cup Whole Bean Coffee until they are coarsely ground. About 1/4 cup whole coffee beans, yields roughly 1/2 cup ground coffee.

The goal is a coarse grind about the size of raw sugar. Remember that you don’t want to grind the coffee to the point that it looks like powdered coffee. This way your Brewed coffee will turn out muddy!

Step 2:

In a mason jar, stir together 1/2 Cup coarse ground coffee and 1 cup cold water. Gently stir the coffee with the water until well-blended. Cover and let rest at room temperature for at least 12 hours for the best results. The coffee will float to the top as it sits, and that’s totally normal!

Step 3:

The next morning, Strain the coffee concentrate. Line a Fine-Mesh Strainer with cheesecloth and set it over a large measuring cup. Slowly pour the coffee concentrate through the strainer.

Step 4:

Once strained, transfer the coffee to an airtight Mason Jar for long-term storage. If you’re not going to serve the cold-brewed coffee immediately, cover and refrigerate it for up to 2 weeks.

Step 5:

To serve the coffee, fill a tall glass or a mason jar with 1 cup ice cubes. Pour 1/2 cup cold brew over the ice, add 1/2 cup cold water, and stir to combine. Add half-and-half or milk of choice if desired and enjoy 🙂
