I make Detox water on a daily basis for a very long time, that it’s become a habit!

By now, it’s not a hidden fact that keeping hydrated is the key to boost up your metabolism. 

Probably you’ve already heard of 8×8 rule! Technically, this means it’s recommended by health authorities to drink at least eight 8-ounce glasses, or half-gallon water daily!

This may sound like drinking lots of water, but it’s not!

So, if just like me you’re not a fan of the taste of plain water, why not add some flavors to it? This is a great “trick” to increase your daily water intake!

What is Detox Water?

The “Flavored Water” wildly known as “Detox Water”, is water that has been infused with flavors of fresh fruits, vegetables or herbs.

Detox Water is not only flavorful, but also beneficial for your body! 

You can be creative in making Detox Water in so many ways! Just start using any combination of fruits, vegetables and herbs that you like.

There’s no specific type of Detox Water that is MORE beneficial for you! 

YES, Detox Water could make you lose weight!

It’s obvious by now that water itself increases your metabolism. The higher your metabolism rate is, the more calories you burn daily!

Drinking both cold and warm water have great effects on helping you burn calories.

Not to mention, drinking water approximately 30 minutes before lunch and dinner keeps you full, and helps you eat less!

Benefits of Lemon Water

Generally speaking, Lemon is a great source of Vitamin C, and it helps to boost your immunity system as well!

You can add lemon to both cold and warm water and enjoy its benefits.

In fact, drinking lemon with warm water as soon as you wake up, and before having your breakfast, boosts up your metabolism and gives you more energy to start your day! 

My favorite detox water combinations are:

  • Lemon + cucumber
  • Lemon + Lime
  • Lemon + Ginger
  • Lemon + Orange
  • Watermelon + Cucumber
  • Watermelon + Mint
  • Strawberry + Mint
  • Strawberry + Cucumber
  • Blueberry + Cucumber

How To make Detox Water?

It’s very Easy and Simple to make detox water! 

First, Start with chopping your favorite fruit and vegetable.

Then, add water and, leave it in the fridge for 1 to 12 hours to let all the flavors infuse. 

Usually I make my detox water overnight in a large pitcher, and I repeat the process daily!

Also, I take detox water to work with me everyday! This makes me feel more energized throughout the day!

Lemon + Cucumber Detox Water

This is by far my favorite Detox Water. It's very refreshing and takes less than 5 minutes to make.
Prep Time 4 minutes
Total Time 4 minutes
Course Drinks

Ingredients
  

  • 2 litters Water
  • 1/2 Lemon
  • 1/2 Cucumber

Instructions
 

  • Thinly slice ½ lemon
  • Thinly slice ½ cucumber
  • Add all the ingredients to a pitcher or bottle. Add 2 litters water (or more), and leave the pitcher in the fridge for 1 to 12 hours to let all the flavors infuse.

Notes

If you want to add more water, add more of these ingredients as well
