Ingredients for Vegan Chocolate Mousse:
Coconut cream:
I use this Canned Coconut Cream that works perfectly with this Recipe. To make a Plant-Based Mousse, Coconut Cream is the Key Ingredient to make it rich and Creamy.
If you’re going to use Canned Coconut Milk instead, make sure it’s Full- Fat, and use only the Cream and reserve the Liquid for some other uses like making smoothies.
Dark chocolate:
I use Semi-sweet Chocolate Chunks that I get from Trader Joe’s, It’s not too dark and just perfect!
You can also use Any Chocolate Bar of your choice, but make sure to chop them into small pieces so it’s easier to melt the Chocolate.
Maple syrup:
Maple Syrup is an optional ingredient. But, If you’re going to use dark Chocolate , you can’t go wrong with adding just a little sweetness to your chocolate Mousse.
You can also Substitute Maple Syrup for Honey if you’re not making a 100% Vegan Chocolate Mousse.
Toppings:
Adding Toppings to your Chocolate Mousse is also Optional, but they add a more fun look and extra flavor to your Dessert.
Some Toppings you can Use for this Vegan Chocolate Mousse are:
- Cocoa Nibs
- Whipped Coconut Cream
- Different Type of Chocolate Chunks
- Fresh Berries
- Nuts
- Shredded Coconut
- Orange or Lemon Zest
- Peppermint
